OTHER WAYS TO HELP
Looking to do more to stop censorship in your community?
There are several ways to help. First, if you think that restricting access to learning materials is an ongoing problem in your school district, document as much evidence as possible on what has been banned and why. Then contact us.
Unless the School Board has severely overstepped their bounds in deciding what content is appropriate for students, the problem will probably not rise to the level of a lawsuit.
However, we can help you figure out the best way to petition your School Board and organize for change. It may be useful to Hold a Read-In or Write a Letter to the Editor. (See our Talking Points first.)
